Introduce the snow peas and cabbage to the pan, stirring frequently. Add soy sauce and rice vinegar, simmering for 3-5 minutes. Stir in the bean sprouts for 1-2 minutes. Adjust pepper and salt as needed.

Step 1 : Cook the Rice
Wash and rinse the rice 3 times under running water. In a cooking pot, bring the salted water to a boil, add the rice, and cook uncovered for 1-3 minutes. Then, cover and cook on low heat for 12 minutes. Once cooked, turn off the heat and set aside.

Step 3 : Pan-fry the Chicken
Heat a pan with a drizzle of oil over medium heat. Season the chicken with salt and black pepper, then cook for 8 minutes until browned.
Step 2 : Prep the Ingredients
Peel and finely chop the garlic and ginger. Thinly slice the red onion. Prepare the snow peas by removing the strings and cutting them in half diagonally. Peel the carrot, cut into 5 cm long slabs, then into matchsticks. Shred the cabbage.
Step 4 : Sauté the Veggies
To the same pan, add ginger, garlic, and onion, cooking for 2-3 minutes until fragrant. Add the carrots and sauté for another 3-5 minutes.
Step 6 : Serve and Enjoy!
Serve by placing the cooked rice on a plate alongside the chicken yasai itame.
