Before you start

Preheat the oven to 180 Degrees Celsius. Please wash your hands and rinse all fresh fruits and vegetables prior to cooking.

Cooking Instructions


Step 5 : Toast the Bread

Toast bread slices for 2 minutes, spread with garlic butter, then toast for another 2 minutes

180 g Penne Pasta
60 g Beef Bacon
30 g Panko Bread Crumbs
4 g Dried Thyme
10 g Butter
8 g Flour
200 ml Pasta's Cooking Water
300 ml Cooking Cream
30 g Baby Spinach
135 g White Bread, Sliced
45 g Garlic Butter

Step 1: Cook the Pasta

Heat a pot of water over medium until it boils. Add salt, then pasta, cooking 8-10 minutes until al dente; reserve a cup of pasta water, then drain.

Step 3 : Make the Sauce

In a new pan over medium, melt butter, then whisk in flour until pasty. Slowly add reserved pasta water, then cream, simmering for 3 minutes with salt and pepper. Add pasta, and half the parmesan, simmer for 4 minutes, then stir in spinach

Step 2 : Prep the Ingredients

Mix breadcrumbs, thyme, and a pinch of black pepper in a bowl. In a hot pan with oil, fry bacon for 1-2 minutes until brown, then combine with breadcrumb mixture, adding oil if dry.

Step 4 : Bake the Pasta

Transfer the creamy pasta into an oven-proof dish then sprinkle the bacon crumble and the remaining parmesan evenly over the top. Baked for 8-12 minutes or until golden crispy.

Step 6 : Serve and Enjoy!

Serve the baked pasta on plates with garlic bread alongside.
